Yesterday, I traded at the Linc-Con comic con, held at The Engine Shed, Lincoln. It was my first time at the event, and I had a great day there.
Linc-Con is a very cosplay-oriented event, and I saw people in some outstanding costumes. From babies dressed as Yoda and children dressed as the Demogorgon, to Jesus and a very, very tall Chewbacca. It was very impressive how many people had made their own costumes, taking several weeks to get the details right.
Alongside the cosplay contest, there were many more activities, including on-stage gameshows, a shooting range, retro gaming, and lightsaber fighting lessons. Set in the hub of Lincoln University, it was an incredibly busy event, offering very little opportunity to even sit down for a moment!
A huge thank you to the organisers, and to everyone who came along to say hello, to chat about maps, and discuss worldbuilding. I’m so fortunate that my job leads to so many fascinating conversations!
